Cold-pressed castor oil, is a colourless to very pale yellow liquid with mild or no odour or taste. It is a triglyceride in which approximately 90% of fatty acid chains are ricinoleic acid (interestingly, castor oil is the only place where this acid is found). Oleic and linoleic acids (essential fatty acids) are the other significant components of castor oil.
