1 Month Castor oil challenge

Hello,
I hope you enjoyed my my facts based post on Cold Pressed Castor Oil vs Jamaican Black Castor Oil
if you missed it here is a link http://tinyurl.com/b79jw7m

I know you might be wondering what was that for well its for a challenge that I am embarking on for one month. Putting this both oils to test and know how fast they or if they work at all for me.
The area I'm going to be testing out are my edges as they suffered from the hair cut I had done 2009/2010 and my edges are on a slow growth rate and what beta time that to try this out.

This is how its going to work, for 1 full month I'm going to be testing with the Cold Pressed Castor Oil  and in the 2'nd Month I would be testing the Jamaican Black Castor Oil.
Every week I would make a post about it and I will carry this on till the month is over and at the end of that 1 month I would make a YouTube video with Images and Commentaries.

This challenge/experiment is starting on the 26/01/2013 all it involves is massaging warm castor oil onto the edges/temple area.
In a week time a post will be up with a before and after of one week usage.

I do hope that you all join me in this challenge for us to be able to compare hair growth and make the whole process fun really.
Do leave comments below if you would be joining this challenge.

Here is a video explain how and why I'm doing this challenge

Happy Reading and Watching!!!

Cold Pressed Castor Oil VS Jamaican Black Castor Oil

Now as we all know the benefits of Castor oil.
It can be used both Internally and External.
In this case I we are going to be using it externally in the hair department.
But first we have to see the two main difference in the Cold Pressed Castor Oil and the Jamaican Black Castor Oil .

1) Cold Pressed Castor Oil

Cold pressed oil is oil produced through a combination of grinding and low heat. Many types of fruits, seed , and vegetables can be used to make it, but not all cooking oils go through this process. The introduction of heat to the process of making most oils degrades their flavour nutritional value, and colour, and may expose them to toxins. (http://tinyurl.com/83afndu)

Dr Pheonix (via Curlynikki) writes: "Manufacturers will use different types of processing methods when extracting oils from plants. And an oil will be either unrefined or refined based on how it was extracted from a plant. Unrefined oils retain most if not all of their nutritive properties, while refined oils will lose some (or possibly all) of their nutritive properties.

Cold-pressed castor oil, is a colourless to very pale yellow liquid with mild or no odour or taste. It is a triglyceride in which approximately 90% of fatty acid chains are ricinoleic acid (interestingly, castor oil is the only place where this acid is found). Oleic and linoleic acids (essential fatty acids) are the other significant components of castor oil. A good reason to use cold-pressed castor oil instead of refined castor oil is that cold-pressed oils retain much more of these valuable nutrients. (http://tinyurl.com/bzw2omu)

2) Jamaican Black Castor Oil
PictureSunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil is processed the “old fashioned “Jamaican way. Our Organic seeds are roasted and grounded by a manual grinder, after which the beans are boiled to extract the 100% pure, dark brown organic oil. Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil is the best quality oil on the market. Why you may ask? Over the last ten years it is an established precedent that Jamaican Black Castor Oil is more effective than the clear Pharmacy Castor Oil because of the Ash Content in Jamaican Black Castor Oil due to roasting of the beans. Therefore it stands to reason that the more Ash Content the more effective the Oil. This is not a myth, it is evidence based FACTS. Compared to other brands, it is the darkest Jamaican Black Castor Oil because we roast our beans longer, which produces more Ash Content in Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil than any other oil on the market. More Ash content increases the effectiveness and the colour of the oil. Therefore, the Sunny Isle brand will strengthen and increases hair growth faster than any other brands on the market today. Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil comes in a safety sealed bottle for your safety protection.(http://tinyurl.com/3597e4t)

Yoruba

Awe ibo lo lo ta
Ta fin wa o ta
Ibi o balo ja mo
aunty ton gbe ile ito si
Mo wo e wa le yin
Lati ojo meta da bo
Owi pe oo
O loun fun oo
Oun osu meji
O loun fun oo
Ani wipe oo
O loun fun oo
(Asa - AWE)
Yoruba is such a beautiful and historical language you can just listen to a song in this dialect and you would be able to put it down on a page as I have done here. It is  so easy, flexible and almost easy to learn. I would know this, because for an English and Hausa speaking girl like myself who was able learn Yoruba through movies(the wrong way to start..lol) I say this because Yoruba is my native dialect but I wasn’t born in the Southern part of Nigeria but was born and breed in the Northern Part so huge cultural change but I was willing to learn. So may be that added to the fact that was why + much wanted us (Me and Bro) to be able to understand and converse in it fluently for a kid at the age of 11 to take on a new language heheh it got fun.
As the saying goes
If you want to learn a language you have to start with the curse words first.
(Same thing goes for the new language I’m learning now French )
And it’s fun that way

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!!!
Im so happy we all got to make it into the new year.
